RAY = a gleam or slight manifestation,

light, or radiance

The sunflower moves in the most direct position in front of the sun to receive maximum light.

Sunflowers are also symbolic of spiritual faith and worship because we follow our belief system as the sunflower moves to face the life-giving rays of the sun.

In Aboriginal culture, the sunflower is used in late summer festivals as a symbol of bounty, harvestand provision.

The color of the sunflower is noted

for its vitality and symbolic of energy and fertility.
