UTK CCI Scholarship Endowment
For junior and senior College of Communication and Information students
studying abroad while attending the University of TN, Knoxville
May 2013, our founder was blessed to travel to Nicosia, Cyprus in the Mediterranean with Dr. Bob Legg and 6 other bright-eyed UT School of Journalism & Media students.
She knew studying abroad would be life-changing, but her expectations were exceeded, abundantly. For her, #VOLForLife means giving back to the institution that remains the
gift which keeps on giving.
Ten years later, she renewed her
passport and signed the dotted
line to support the dream of studying abroad for fUTure University of
Tennessee, Knoxville students.
By awarding one CCI student per semester with $1,000, "Seeds today. Sunflowers tomorrow. UT Knoxville Alumni Tri-Star Scholarship Endowment" supports UT College of Communication &
Information study abroad program.
Study abroad fosters global awareness and academic, personal, and professional growth -- simultaneously.
Sowing a seed into this
endowment can:
- Provide a passport for a student
who is high-need
(Expedited or standard)
- Allow a student who doesn't have a home to go back to for the summer the opportunity to experience a new home
- Offer the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a student to
work outside the U.S.
- Cover meals for a 5-week
or 8-week program
